Bodyblade®,
the patented, revolutionary workout system for fast, effective muscle
strengthening, power development, stabilization, and toning, was
invented by California physical therapist Bruce Hymanson.
The product
is used by several world-class athletes and celebrities, along with countless
individuals. The Bodyblade® has been featured by several radio, television,
and print outlets including the Today Show, CNN, Fox News, The Tonight Show with Jay Leno,
the Los Angeles Times, the Chicago Tribune, the San Diego Union-Tribune, and
many others.
"As a clinician with 24 years of experience (12 of those working
exclusively with professional golfers) I'm always looking for ways
to more effectively train and treat my clients. I used the Bodyblade
almost daily while working with professional golfers and found it
to be a very effective tool in the treatment of low back, elbow,
and shoulder problems. Motor control and body awareness is a big
component in golf and the Bodyblade helps me train golfers to achieve
and stabilize desired positions in patterns of movement specific
to golf."
Ralph Simpson PT, OCS, CMPT, ATC
"Bodyblade is fantastic in every way. Had the opportunity
to meet Bruce Hymanson last year--talked to him about pursuing the golf
market. He was one of the nicest men I have ever met."
Mark Spinelli
Golf Instructor
"I have been a golf professional for 20 years and have spent
the better part of my life in reasonable shape. In 2004 I hurt my
back and laid in bed for almost four months. Herniations in l3, l4,
and l5 had me laid out and in great pain. I lost 20 pounds and looked
like I was going to die. Many things happened to me on my way back
to health. Aaron Mattes (active isolated stretching), Stewart
McGill (back fitness doctor), and the Bodyblade by Bruce Hymanson.
These people and their knowledge of the body and how it functions
have motivated me in ways a 49-year-old wouldn't expect. The Bodyblade
and my imagination in its use has changed my body in tone and shape
and should be in everyone's workout regimen. Proprioceptively speaking,
the Bodyblade has few rivals and when you use it on unstable surfaces
you will be totally challenged. I believe this is the tipping point
for this product and expect the blade to be one of the most important
training tools in sports training."

"I began training with the Bodyblade approximately one year
ago and have found it to be the most significant tool I have ever
used as far as creating a noticeable and lasting difference in my
golf swing. I have increased my swing speed by nine miles per hour
and have a feeling of much greater control and stability throughout
my entire swing. My distance has continually improved and my increase
in core stability has enabled me to do some pretty amazing shots
in my trick shot shows...including one where I balance myself
on a 65 cm Swiss ball and hit a 250+ yard drive.
I'd recommend the Bodyblade to ANYONE interested in improving their
core stability and overall golf swing."

How to Improve Your Golf Game How would you like to improve your drive? Nearly everybody out there would be interested in hearing about how to hit a ball farther and with greater accuracy, except maybe Tiger Woods. The secret to improving your golf game is to improve the core of your body. This core stabilization refers to the discipline of building your body from the center out.
That means that you focus on areas from the neck to the pelvic floor, and then build out to the arms and legs evenly with a stronger core. This results in better symmetry in your body as well as increased accuracy and speed. Furthermore, because you have to repeat these swings over and over again, you need a strong center to be able to perform without injuring yourself.
The Bodyblade is a very useful piece of exercise equipment and is especially effective in helping athletes to train their center core, whether for football, baseball or the sport of golf. In fact, the makers of Bodyblade have worked with the PGA Tour for a number of years, helping professional golfers rehabilitate their bodies from injury and also improve core training. The Bodyblade operates very simplistically upon a first glance. The practicing golfer grabs the apparatus and holds it up, shaking it back and forth. (This is also known as driving the blade.) Every second the Bodyblade changes direction four and one half times, which helps in coordination and balance. Furthermore, the apparatus changes directions rapidly some 270 times a minute, giving the trainee quite a workout.
This operation trains the person by promoting stability but by also adding mobility to the swing. This not only exercises the person’s arm but also their spine, their abdominal muscles, shoulders, back and buttocks. In fact, this device can offer a full-body workout in addition to core training.
Best of all, the Bodyblade helps each body part to “communicate” with each other. You can almost visualize each muscle “talking” to each other, from the pelvis to the neck, and the front and back. This physical communication, when muscles work together in unison, can help to improve accuracy, control movement and control the velocity of the movement. If you are looking for club head speed, accuracy and a farther drive then look for more information on how the Bodyblade can act as a wellness tool and an instrument for center stabilization.
I have been using the Bodyblade for over five years
now and I wouldn't be in the situation I am in now if
it weren't for the Bodyblade. As a professional athlete
playing over a 150 games a year, it's very easy for body
parts to break down. The Bodyblade has helped keep my
shoulder in good enough shape that I haven't missed
a day from a shoulder injury since I started working
with the Bodyblade. I can honestly say that without
this piece of equipment (which I only have to use two/three
times a week for five minutes) I might not still
be pitching. Thank you Bodyblade.

I thought driving my Indycar was the best way to
train my driving muscles. But my trainer, Jim Leo, started
me using the Bodyblade, and I--for the first time--felt
the same fatigue as driving the car. The nice thing
is that I now train the same muscles without having
to drive 225 mph. Good stuff.

I did use the blade quite a bit prior to the 2004
Games. I was having a lot of shoulder problems leading up
to the Olympics. The Bodyblade was a large part of my rehab--it truly made a difference in keeping my shoulders in tact,
not to mention giving my entire body a workout at the same time!
Awesome product!

"Rotating
or wiggling in front or behind while standing or sitting provides
a suprisingly thorough core workout. In a decade, he has sold
more than 600,000 and gained the endorsement of such regular
users as Randy Johnson (who simulates the throwing motion
with it) and heavyweight boxing champion Lennox Lewis." The Chicago Tribune
"The
Bodyblade gives you good vibrations. Flapping the long flexible
strip creates hundreds of muscle contractions... By rapidly
flapping the Bodyblade, you can have up to 270 muscle contractions
per minute." San Diego Union-Tribune

your way into shape.
A former
rehabilitation device, this 5-foot ski-like beam flaps like
a set of wings when you shake it, working arm, shoulder and
core muscles.
...A surprisingly
challenging toning and strength workout from the waist up.
Your muscles must strain to stabilize the blades' G-forces.
Seems easy for the first 10 seconds or so, but becomes more
difficult. Superb way to augment regular workouts, and you
can use it while watching TV or walking the dog. Useful video

Bodyblade® is unlike
any other piece of exercise equipment on the market today. Most
other systems work on the principle of the user attempting to lift
a weighted item or stretch an elastic band. The Bodyblade®,
however, works on the opposite premise: Once the user drives the
blade and the ends begin to move, inertia provides resistance to
the body. The greater the flex of the blade, the greater the resist.
This progressive resistance automatically adjusts to the level of
the user. Thus, the risk of injury through overexertion is greatly
reduced.
"An associate of mine has just ordered a Bodyblade
from you! I have been using the product, a PRO model, for
the past 13 months and have seen some excellent results;
therefore I have recommended it to a number of friends.
I use my Bodyblade three to four times per week for between 15-20
minutes per session working with variations of the prescribed
motions. Combined with a sensible diet and some running,
I have reached what I believe to be an optimum body weight
and a pretty decent physique...in a very convenient and
low-risk manner. Golf is my passion (Scratch Handicapper)
and I am convinced that the strength and tone that I have
added and maintained have contributed to an improvement
in my overall game. My flexibility is better, I have more
stamina to play four-day events, and I have definitely added
length without increasing effort.
Best wishes and I hope that you sell a gazillion.
P.S. I also travel with mine in my golf bag...FYI the core
stabilization exercise is without question the most difficult
and my least favorite but undoubtedly the most beneficial!" Chris F-H
"My Bodyblade arrived eight weeks ago and I have used it
every day since. Unlike any other fitness tool I have tried, I WANT
to use it. There are two basic reasons: 1. The exercises are enjoyable;
I don’t hurt or even breathe too hard while I’m doing them. 2. The
results are visible very quickly: my biceps are now only a little
smaller than my neck. My story is that I had throat surgery followed
by radiation. As a result of that I cannot swallow. I also lost a lot
of muscle in my neck and shoulders due to nerve damage. In fact,
my left shoulder has given me enormous pain for most of the last year
and a half. For this I have tried exercise and extensive therapy--to
no avail. Enter the Bodyblade. In about a week I noticed an improvement
in my left shoulder and the improvement continues as long as I am
careful not to overdo it. Furthermore, I see a big change in my
neck muscles. Thank you for inventing such a great product. My goal
is to get my golf swing back. So far, so good!" Dave H
How does the Bodyblade® build muscles?
While the rate of oscillation stays the same, the workout intensifies
when the amplitude, or magnitude of the flexing tips, increases.
Over the course of just one minute, the ends of the Bodyblade®
move back and forth 270 times--that's 270 times your muscles
have to resist the movements. The resistance needed to control
the blade can range from one pound to 34 pounds depending on the amplitude
of the flexing tips.
What other advantages does Bodyblade® have? Convenience: Bodyblade's® efficient movements provide a complete
workout in just minutes, so you're never tempted to skip exercise
during your otherwise busy schedule. Cost: For as little as $49, you can start down the road to a stronger,
healthier you. Size: Bodyblade® is only a few feet long and a couple of
pounds, easily fitting in the closet, under the bed, and in dozens
of other places conventional weights and machines can't go.
What makes Bodyblade® different from other exercise
equipment?
With Bodyblade® there are no weights or elastic bands that
can break. You control the intensity and acceleration of the movement,
which makes it safer and more effective than other equipment.
Bodyblade® is technically known as a dynamic reactive instrument,
which means that it matches the force you put into the blade and
nothing more. As it moves back and forth four and a half times
per second, it uses the principles of inertia to stimulate the
muscles and make them stronger. The better conditioned the user,
the more enhanced the workout. Yet since the user controls the
movement, you can never injure yourself with Bodyblade®. All
of this is possible due to the patented technology and the inertial
exercise principles built into every Bodyblade®.
How does Bodyblade® create resistance?
Bodyblade® is a reactive, oscillating device that utilizes inertia
to generate up to 270 muscle contractions per minute. The laws of
inertia state that an object set in motion remains in motion until
another force acts upon it to stop or change its direction. You
push and pull on the apparatus, which accelerates the blade and
creates a force due to the flex or amplitude of the blade. The greater
the flex, the greater the resistance that is needed by the body
to counteract the destabilizing forces delivered to the body.
The blade's movement therefore requires the user to contract his
or her muscles in order to neutralize these forces.
How does a Bodyblade® workout translate into calories burned?
Calorie consumption is difficult to calculate using Bodyblade® for
several reasons. Varying factors are your age, conditioning level
to begin with, weight, mass, lean body mass, and the true intensity
of the workout. Since Bodyblade® is a progressive resistance device, which
ties very closely to the user's mass and conditioning, results will
vary--just as two people running a mile at different paces and conditioning
levels would see different results. Since the intensity of training is hard to measure from
one individual to another, there is no concrete measure of calories
burned, e.g. 100 calories for every 10-minute
workout.
We do have two aerobic workouts with two other products
in the Bodyblade® line and one aerobic workout with the Classic. There are good reasons to do aerobic and anaerobic exercise to
help burn calories and lose weight. The burning of calories via
aerobic exercise is great not only for the actual workout, but also for the
metabolic changes in your body at the cellular level. A more fit
person burns more calories faster and more efficiently then a sedentary
person. The key is to change your metabolism and burn fat more efficiently
than someone who does not exercise.
The anaerobic exercise, or the more strengthening part
of the workout, with Bodyblade® will increase the muscle size to some degree and
will provide more fuel for the furnace. The more muscle working, the
more calories are burned even at rest. The combination of more mass
and more power capability, plus a more efficient metabolism,
will change the way you look and feel.
Does Bodyblade® have an aerobic effect on the whole body?
Yes, Bodyblade® can be aerobic. There are several models that
can be used for aerobic training. They come with a great aerobic
follow-along video guaranteed to make you sweat and burn the calories.
You control the intensity of the workout and how much aerobic work
you do. As for weight loss, no product alone will guarantee weight
loss. You must combine the proper nutritional program with exercise.
Aerobic fitness will change the way your body's metabolism functions.
The more aerobically fit you are, the better the cells process energy
and burn calories. The more sedentary person will store food as
fat while a fit person will take the same food and use it for energy.
The key is to challenge the body with the Bodyblade®, tone the muscles,
strengthen the muscles, and change your metabolism. Give the Bodyblade® workout 21 days and you will see fabulous
results.
